Compress and convert videos, extract audio as MP3, merge and split PDFs, convert HEIC photos, zip files, and work out file sizes and upload times. Everything runs in your browser, so your files never leave your device.
Why these tools are different
Most online converters upload your file to their servers, process it there and ask you to download it again. For a 500 MB video that means waiting for the upload before anything happens, and a copy of your file sits on someone else's computer, at least for a while.
These tools work the other way round. The page loads the code once, and your browser does the work using modern web technology: WebCodecs (the hardware-accelerated video engine behind video calls), WebAssembly and Web Workers. Your files never travel over the internet, which is why a 50-page merge or a video trim is often finished in seconds, and why the tools still work on a train with no signal once the page has loaded.
- Private by design: nothing is uploaded, so there is nothing for us to store, read or delete.
- No ads, no sign-up, no watermark: open a tool and use it. Results are yours, unmarked.
- Phone and desktop: the same tools work on iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux, and you can install them as an app.
Send the result when you are done
Every tool ends with three choices: download the result, send it with a link, or email it. The last two hand the finished files straight to our free transfer service, so you can share up to 20 GB without re-selecting anything. That part does upload, because the recipient needs to download the file from somewhere, and the link expires automatically.
Frequently asked questions
Are these tools really free?
Yes. Every tool is free with no trial, no daily limit on how many files you process and no watermark on the result. You do not need an account.
Are there ads?
No. The tool pages show no advertising at all, so nothing gets in the way while you work.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The tools run inside your browser, so your files are read and processed on your own phone or computer and never sent to us. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to send the result with a link or by email afterwards.
Is there a file size limit?
Each tool shows its limit per file: typically 100 to 300 MB for PDFs and images and up to 2 GB for video, audio and ZIP files. Because the work happens on your device, the practical limit also depends on it: a laptop copes with bigger files than an older phone. If a file is too big to process, you can still send the original with a link.
Can I compress or convert videos without uploading them?
Yes. The video tools use WebCodecs, your browser's own hardware-accelerated video engine, to compress, convert, trim and turn videos into GIFs on your device. They work in current Chrome, Edge, Safari (17 or newer) and Firefox (130 or newer); other browsers get a clear message.
Can I install it as an app?
Yes. In Chrome or Edge, use the Install app button on any tool page (or Install from the browser menu). On iPhone and iPad, tap Share and then Add to Home Screen. Tools you have opened before keep working offline.
Do the tools work on my phone?
Yes. They work in current versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge on iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux. Heavy jobs such as compressing a long video simply take a little longer on a phone.
