How to split PDF into single pages

  1. Choose your PDF.
  2. Leave “Pages per file” at 1 (or change it to 2 for pairs of pages).
  3. Press Split into pages.
  4. Download all as a ZIP, save single pages, or send them all with one link.

Why one file per page

Scanners and phone scanning apps often put a whole pile of paper into a single PDF. That is convenient until each sheet needs to go somewhere different: a receipt to accounts, a signed form back to HR, a certificate to a university portal that accepts one page at a time. Splitting into single pages gives you each sheet as a proper PDF you can file, rename or attach on its own.

Every file keeps the page exactly as it was, including its size and orientation, and is named with its page number (scan-page-07.pdf) with leading zeros so the files stay in order in any folder.

Getting the pages where they need to go

With many pages, Download all (ZIP) is the quickest way to save them together. If the pages are for someone else, Send with a link passes all of them to one transfer; when there are more pages than a single transfer allows, they are sent as one ZIP automatically.

Only need three or four of the pages? Extract pages puts just those into one new PDF instead.

Private by design

Forms, IDs and statements are exactly the kind of documents you should not upload to unknown websites. This tool never uploads them: the PDF is opened and split by your browser, on your device, and the result is created there too.

Frequently asked questions

How are the single-page files named?

Each file gets the original name plus its page number with leading zeros, for example contract-page-03.pdf, so they sort in the right order.

Can I split into pairs of pages instead?

Yes. Set “Pages per file” to 2 (or any other number) before you split.

Is there a limit on the number of pages?

No fixed limit. Hundreds of pages are fine on a computer; on a phone, very long documents take longer.

Are the pages re-compressed?

No. Each page is copied as it is, so quality and text are unchanged.

Need to send a big file?
