## How to use it

1. Choose or drop a photo: JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and more.
2. Pick a tool from the row above the photo: Crop, Rotate, Adjust, Filters, Text, Draw, Blur or Resize.
3. Make your changes; Undo and Redo are always one tap away.
4. Choose the format and press Save image, then download or send it.

## Everything you need for everyday edits

- **Crop** freely or to 1:1, 4:5, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9 and 9:16, with handles you can drag with a finger.
- **Rotate and flip** in 90° steps, for sideways phone photos and mirrored selfies.
- **Adjust** brightness, contrast, saturation, exposure and warmth, or pick a filter such as Vivid, Mono or Vintage.
- **Text** in five font styles with a colour, shadow or a background box, dragged into place.
- **Draw** with a pen, arrows, boxes or a highlighter to point things out in screenshots.
- **Blur, pixelate or black out** faces, number plates, names and addresses.
- **Resize** to exact pixels or a percentage when you save.

## Nothing is lost until you save

Every change is kept as a step, not burnt into the picture. That is why Undo and Redo work across tools, why you can change the crop after adding text, and why the saved image is rendered once from your original at full resolution instead of being re-compressed after every step. Your original file is never modified; the result is a new file named like the original with “-edited” added.

## Private by design

The editor runs entirely in your browser. Your photo is not uploaded, so there is no waiting for a server, no daily limit and no account, and nobody else ever sees what you edit. That matters for screenshots of messages, ID documents and family photos. Blurred or blacked-out areas are replaced in the saved file itself, so they can't be “un-blurred” by removing a layer.

## Which format to save in

| Format | Choose it for |
| --- | --- |
| JPG | Photos to share or print; smallest for pictures of people and places. |
| PNG | Screenshots, diagrams and anything with text or transparency. |
| WebP | Websites; about a third smaller than JPG at the same quality. |

## Frequently asked questions

### Is this image editor really free?

Yes. There are no ads, no sign-up, no watermark on your pictures and no limit on how many you edit.

### Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. The crop handles, drawing and text dragging are made for touch, and HEIC photos from an iPhone open directly.

### Is my photo uploaded?

No. Editing happens on your device; the photo only leaves it if you choose to send the result.

### Will saving reduce the quality?

PNG keeps every pixel. JPG and WebP are saved at 92% quality by default, which looks the same as the original; you can raise it to 100%.

### Can I undo a change after using another tool?

Yes. Undo and Redo go back through every step, in any tool, until you leave the page.
